HRM Improvement Recommendations Advisory Committee
What is HIRAC?
The HRM Improvement Recommendations Advisory Committee (HIRAC) provides thought leadership pertaining to the adoption and execution of the HRM Task Force recommendations. Co-chaired by OMD and Ontario Health, it includes members from key associations and organizations to drive crucial HRM improvements and changes for Ontario clinicians forward.
What is its mandate?
HIRAC reviews the recommendations to assess the issues, identify gaps or modifications and monitor progress. It is exploring strategies for quicker implementation of the recommendations, seeking leadership and accountability for the tasks related to each recommendation to appropriate stakeholders.
Advocating for Improvements
HIRAC supports discussions between hospitals and the primary care community and community-based specialists to better understand how changes at hospitals impact community-based physicians before hospitals implement them, to consider the timing of changes, and to ensure that physicians receive appropriate notice and details of the changes through timely communications.
