OntarioMD (OMD) supports over 20,000 community-based clinicians with innovative AI and digital health tools and provides free advice on how to make them work best for you. We can help you enroll in complimentary provincial digital tools connected to your electronic medical record (EMR) and align them with your workflow so you don't add to your administrative burden. OMD advisors will show you how to use the tools to incorporate the patient data you need from other points of care.
Our knowledgeable staff make the implementation of multiple provincial digital tools convenient and efficient for you. They can also provide training for to use them. Tools include:
Digital Health Credentials / ONE® ID –
A username and password from Ontario Health to access secure provincial tools such as eConsult.
Drug Information –
Securely access dispensed medications covered under the ODB program, drugs considered narcotics or controlled substances, as well as vaccinations and services administered in pharmacies from the Ontario Health’s Digital Health Drug Repository (DHDR) through your EMR in real time.
Hospital Reports –
Health Report Manager (HRM®) improves communication among healthcare providers by securely delivering many report types, such as discharge summaries, from hospitals and specialty clinics to your EMR. HRM’s eNotifications give you real-time ADT messages from hospitals.
Integrated EHR Products and EMR Contextual Launch Services – OMD works with EMR vendors to integrate provincial digital health tools (EHR products and services) with their EMR offerings, including contextual launch services. Current services include ClinicalConnect and MTO eForms. More services will soon be available (e.g., Cancer Care Ontario eReports).
Lab Results – Access lab test results for your patients or perform patient queries in the Ontario Laboratories Information System (OLIS) from your EMR.
Ontario AI Scribe Program – The Ontario AI Scribe Program connects clinicians with pre-qualified AI scribes through a Vendor of Record arrangement with Supply Ontario. Vendors and their products have met the province’s clinical, business, technical, privacy and legal requirements. Clinicians can take advantage of vetted contracts and discounted group pricing.

Privacy & Security Training –
Learn best practices to use Ontario digital health tools safely with up-to-date, certified, privacy security training. OMD offers two comprehensive, CME-accredited, online courses for you and your authorized staff/delegates. Course content covers AI tools and virtual care.
Users of Ontario Health’s digital tools must complete the courses annually. Physicians earn CME credits for each course.
Specialist Advice – eConsult provides timely access to specialist advice through your EMR and often eliminates the need to send patients for an in-person specialist visit.
